Source changes are awaiting a new feed snapshot
Changes normally trigger a check every minute. PDF assembly can take longer. Use the release identifier and manifest rather than assuming that “latest” stays unchanged during a download.
Effective dates are not confirmed for all sections. This package is for technical evaluation only.
Reliable automatic retrieval
- Poll the catalog using HTTPS. Retain its ETag and send
If-None-Matchon subsequent requests. A304response means the catalog has not changed. - Choose one release identifier and use its immutable manifest and package URLs. Do not mix separate
/latest/downloads while a new release is being generated. - Verify the package byte count and SHA-256 against the catalog. Extract safely, then verify every manifest-listed file. Reject an incomplete or mismatched package.
- Retain the package and identifier for traceability. Use
changes.jsonto identify differences; removal from this distribution is not an official aeronautical cancellation. - Keep evaluation data outside operational processing. A transport checksum does not establish State approval, AIRAC compliance or a digital origin signature.
What the package contains
- Full AIP PDF compilation and its compilation manifest.
- Included source documents and charts, listed individually with checksums.
- Custom publication XML/JSON, source identifiers and a change index.
