ATS Services
Air Traffic Services within the Damascus FIR (OSTT) are provided by GACA in accordance with ICAO Annex 11 and Doc 4444 (PANS-ATM).
For communication and navigation services, see GEN 3.4. For meteorological services, see GEN 3.5. For search and rescue, see GEN 3.6.
Area of responsibility and types of service
The area of responsibility is the Damascus FIR. Air traffic services comprise air traffic control, flight information and alerting services. For controlled airspace and the responsible ATS units, see ENR 2.1. Aerodrome communication facilities, call signs, frequencies and service hours are published in AD 2.18.
Coordination and minimum flight altitudes
For flight-plan submission, amendments and operator coordination requirements, see ENR 1.10 and ENR 1.11. Published ATS route limits and restrictions are given in ENR 3; minimum flight altitude rules are given in ENR 1.1 and ENR 1.2. Route lower limits do not by themselves establish an obstacle-clearance assessment.
