GEN 3.1 — Aeronautical Information Services (AIS)
Responsible Authority
Aeronautical Information Services for the Syrian Arab Republic are provided by the AIS Division of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Damascus.
AIS Functions
- AIP Publication: The electronic Aeronautical Information Publication (eAIP) is maintained and published in accordance with ICAO Annex 15 and ICAO Doc 8126.
- NOTAM Service: NOTAMs of Series A are originated and distributed via the AFTN.
- AIP Amendments: Published on ICAO standards.
- AIP Supplements: Issued for temporary changes of long duration or containing extensive text/graphics.
- Pre-Flight Information Bulletin (PIB): Available at AIS offices at OSDI, OSAP, OSLK.
- Aeronautical Information Circulars (AIC): Published as required for advisory information.
